MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences is to contribute towards the improvements of health and Information Technology status of the people of this region by providing competent and well-trained Medical Technologists and IT Experts to serve in different far flung and remote areas of NWFP,especially Swat, Dir, Buner, Shangla and Abbottabad Districts. For acheiving this target we are making all possible efforts and using all available resources in the best possible manner.
MESSAGE OF THE CHAIRMAN UIMS
By the grace of Almighty Allah, Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences at Abbottabad has taken one more step for enlarging the spectrum of Medical Technology towards B.Sc (Hons) in this side of the Country with affiliation of Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. It is indeed Allah’s great gratitude that our faculty, our labs have tremendously improved. Students from all over Hazara have thronged to pursue these studies at Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences, Abbottabad.
There is no denying of the fact that Medical Laboratory Technology is the main rock of all the Medical Sciences. Our vision is to initiate M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D in Medical Technology at this very site of the Country in future. I pray for a grand success of the students during their tenure at UIMS and a very dazzling future career. God Bless all of them (Ameen).

With the addition of B.Sc (Hons) Medical Laboratory Technology to our prestigious Institute (Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences). I feel everlasting and exuberant pleasure to extend my cordial felicitations to all those students and parents who were waiting impatiently since long and now. I am indebted to all those colleagues who gave me courage all along for embarking upon this mission. I am proud to state that we are the pioneers in initiation of B.Sc (Hons) Medical Laboratory Technology under affiliation of Khyber Medical University Peshawar. Inshallah, the day is not far off that students qualifying this course from UIMS will render valuable services for the betterment of the Nation and Country. MESSAGE OF THE PRINCIPAL UIMS #
I congratulate all those who were waiting impatiently and aspiring for an advance degree course in Medical Technology in Hazara Division and were expecting for the moment to come. We are proud on announcing the B.Sc Honours course in Medical Technology as pioneer in Hazara Division under Khyber Medical University Peshawar. We are indebted to Khyber Medical University (K.M.U) for the grant of affiliation and consideration to declare us as fit for smoothly running the course according to their expectations. Our hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centers, Research Organizations and Pharmaceutical enterprises desperately need trained Medical Technologists. Realizing the fact that there is a great dearth of Technical expertise in the field of Medical Technology course, the Management of Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences struggled hard for achievement of this goal. I am confident students qualifying this course will become efficient Medical Technologists and will be in a position to possess better knowledge for working on related advance equipments and conduct sophisticated tests for diagnoses of diseases. The Udhyana Institute of Medical Sciences has taken a dynamic initiative of creating this opportunity for technical education in a neglected sector of Medical Technology. In future, we envisage a long term Post-Graduate level study programme leading to M.Phil and Ph.D and research projects with the collaboration of KMU. Our Faculty is qualified and experienced. Our management is co-operative, friendly and helping. May Allah succeed us in the accomplishment of our task for the betterment of our country, for the welfare of our students and for the service of Humanity, Ameen.
